Photoshop tutorial – Designi mp3 player

There are atleast 10 different tutorials on how to create your own mp3 player in photoshop. But while reading one of them to inspire myself, I've noticed most of those are written poorly, and aren't domented very well. In this tutorial, I'm going to do my best to make a tutorial even a newbie can understand.
Step 1 Setup
Once you opened photoshop, press Ctrl+N to open up a window for a new file. In this window you can set parameters of your new document. For this tutorial, enter these parameters:
Press OK. This is what your screen should look like (keep in mind I've changed my view and windows shown at startup):
Step 2 Shape of the player
Choose rounded rectangle tool from shape tools. To open up a menu of other shape tools if ellipse isn't active one, right click on it.
Set the Radius option below the upper toolbar to 64
Draw it on the center of the screen, so it looks like this:
Right click the layer on the layerbar window.
Step 3 Modifying the shape
Right click the layer again, but this time choose Blending Options from the menu. A new window will open.
List them up and fill these options:
To change the color, click on the color icon right next to the "Normal".
To change the color, click on the color icon right next to the "Normal". If you want other gradient, you can change it by clicking on the icon next to "Gradient:"
Step 4 Dividing the mp3
Choose rectangular marquee tool from the left toolbar.
Make a selection like this:
Right click the selection, and choose "Layer via Cut":
This will make another layer, so your layerbar should look like this:
Step 5 Glossying the player
Make a selection like this using rectangular marquee tool:
Make a new layer by clicking on this icon on you layers window:
Now choose Gradient tool from the toolbar
Choose white as your primary color
Choose this gradient frmo the gradient list. To open gradient list, click on the arrow next to the gradient window:
Create a gradient like this twice (for better effect):
Make sure this was all done on the layer you created. That layer should also be on top of the layers window. If it isn't just drag it on top by dragging it with your cursor. Ctrl+D, to get out of the selection.
Make another selection like:
And drag another gradient (twice again). Your player should look something like this:
Ctrl+LeftClick the image of your first layer. This should add whole layer to your selection. Pick up Elliptical marquee tool. Hold LeftAlt and make a selection like this:
By holding LeftAlt and selecting means to subtract from the current selection. That's awesome, right? Anyways, go to Select/Modify/Contract on the uppet toolbar...
Enter 16 and click Ok. Right click the new selection and choose Refine Edge:
Enter these settings:
Press Ok, and choose Gradient tool again. Make a gradient like this:
Your screen should look like this:
Step 6 Embedding player's screen
Let's go back to rounded rectangle tool.
Create a shape like this:
Rasterize the new layer shaping produced by right clicking it and clicking on rasterize layer... Like you did on step 2...
Right click on it again, but this time choose Blending options. Apply these settings:
Ctrl+T and modify the shape the way you want. When done, press enter. Move that shape layer below the gloss layer. Your layers should be placed like this at this moment:
Switch to the gloss layer. Change it's Blend mode to "Overlay":
Your screen should look similar to this:
Step 7 Adding buttons
Add a new shape like this:
Ctrl+J to duplicate the button. Do this for each button you want to have. Place them where you want to have them.
Make the topmost button layer active. Hold shift and then choose the bottom button layer to select them all. Right click any of them and choose Merge Layers.
Right click the new layer and choose blending options again... Apply these settings:
Click Ok. Now, place that layer on the bottom.
Step 8 Adding song's text
Choose Horiziontal Type Tool frmo the toolbad.
Click on the place where you want to put the text. Modify anything you want from the upper toolbad, being it font, type, color, ANYTHING.
Enter whatever you wish. I've entered "Bullet For My Valentine Hearts burst into fire"... Atleast I've tried to =)... Trim it if the whole song doesn't stick in. Before trimming you must rasterize the type layer. Right click the layer that holds text and choose "Rasterize Type". Add up other stuff... It's totally optional. I added the progress bar, progress, battery and play icon...
Step 9 Adding more text
In this step, you add text like player's company, button texts etc... We'll start with embedding the text of company. It'll look kinda cool. Add a new layer, below the gloss layer (you should keep the gloss layer to be on top all the time). Write up the name of company or anything you want your player to have... The position doesn't matter either, this is just something to spice it up a bit. Once you're done, right click the layer and enter blending options yet again.
Apply these settings:
Click Ok...
Now add up more icons... For each button. And spice it up a bit... And you should get a nice picture like:
